Transfer Vehicle
$175 (included)The vehicle used to transfer the decedent from the place of death back to the holding facility at Cremation Basics and used to transfer the decedent to the crematorium after the confirmation of identity has taken place. Mileage charges may apply if the customer opts for a different crematorium than listed and it is outside of the 40KM radius.
Transfer of decedent to our holding facility
$100 (included)Staff to facilitate the transfer of the decedent from the place of death to the holding facility at the convenience of Cremation Basics and only during regular business hours from 9:00AM - 5:00PM on weekdays. Mileage charge of $2.50 per kilometer applied after the first 40KM one way.
Cash Disbursements - Municipal Registration Fee
HST Exempt $50 (included)Cash Disbursements are third party fees associated with the cremation and are paid on behalf of the customer by Cremation Basics as a convenience and added to the contract.
Temporary Container for Cremated Remains
$0The temporary container provided by the crematorium that may be constructed of plastic or cardboard. The cremated remains are contained within the tempoarary container inside a plastic sleeve that includes the unique chain of custody disc assigned at the crematorium. Urns are available at an additional cost.
Confirmation of Identity Area
$0Utility area of office for the purpose of confirming the identity of the decedent prior to the cremation. The confirmation of identity is arranged at the convenience of Cremation Basics and is by appointment only during regular business hours from 9:00AM - 5:00PM on weekdays.
Set Features Only
$0Cremation Basics will ensure that the eyes and mouth of the decedent are closed ahead of the confirmation of identity. No other preparation will take place with the exception of the removal of a pacemaker if one is present. Please note that the confirmation of identity is limited to one person.
Holding Facilities
$100 (included)Basic area of the Cremation Basics office for sheltering the decedent until the confirmation of identity has taken place and the decedent is transferred to the crematorium or for burial.
Preparation and filing of documents
$100 (included)Preparation of death registration forms and staff attendance at Governmental offices for registering the death at the convenience of Cremation Basics, based upon data supplied by the customer via the Cremation Basics website and only during regular business hours from 9:00AM - 5:00PM on weekdays only with no access to weekend registration services via police, fire or coroner.
Cash Disbursements - Coroner's Fee (HST Exempt)
$75 (included)Cash Disbursements are third party fees associated with the cremation and are paid on behalf of the customer by Cremation Basics as a convenience and added to the contract.
Adult Cremation Fee
$525 (included)Cremation Basics cremations are conducted when equipment and resources are available at the crematorium and have a non-priority status.
Basic Services & Access to Staff
$150 (included)Access to staff is limited to regular business hours and at the convenience of Cremation Basics from 9:00AM - 5:00PM on weekdays and by appointment only. Basic services are for the purposes of arranging for a minimal cremation only.
Casket
$195 (included)This is the most basic casket offered by Cremation Basics. An over sized casket is available if required.
